Privacy
Privacy, in plain language
A newsletter should not spy on you. Here is exactly what we collect, why, and how to make it stop.
What we collect
- Your email address, because that is where we send the newsletter.
- Basic delivery information that any mail provider needs to send email reliably, such as whether a message bounced.
That is the whole list. We do not ask for your name, and you do not need an account.
What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your email address.
- We do not build advertising profiles about you.
- We do not embed hidden tracking pixels to watch when or where you open an email.
- We do not follow you around the web.
How subscribing works
When you enter your email, we send a confirmation message to make sure the address is really yours (this is called double opt-in). You are only added to the list after you confirm. You can leave at any time using the unsubscribe link in every issue, or on our unsubscribe page.
Service providers
We use a reputable email delivery provider to send the newsletter. They process your email address only to deliver messages on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe whenever you like, and you can ask us to delete your email from our records by writing to [email protected]. We will take care of it.
Changes
If we ever change how this works, we will update this page and, for anything meaningful, say so in the newsletter itself.
